Hill Ridge Farms

We took the kids to Hill Ridge Farms, which was absolutely wonderful. They had hayrides, a train (!), a fort, pony rides, a corn house (see following pics), a sand box, games, and more. The kids had a blast, and Mommy and Daddy were a bit worn out by the noon! It is just north of Wake Forest, and takes about 45 minutes to drive there--I'm already making plans to meet a friend there during the week later this month.

This continues a yearly tradition of ours--taking the kids to a local farm/hayride/pumpkin patch place. The first year we took Brad I was pregnant with Anne, and the hayride was so bumpy I did not go on it again, and let Doug take Brad instead. The next year we went to Cox Farms, in VA, which was great, but terribly crowded and kind of cold. Here in NC it wasn't too crowded and the weather was lovely--Brad could have worn a short-sleeve shirt and been comfortable. I think this is definitely my favorite place so far.

Is it our turn to ride?

The farm was really large, and nicely landscaped, too!

Here they come!

Can we ride again?
