Anne had her 18-month checkup recently, and we were pleased to learn that she's off the charts for height and in the 80th percentile for weight. She's almost 35 inches, and 27.5 pounds. I can't believe she had her 18-month checkup. It seems like just yesterday she was a little baby!

I'm convinced that she has her father's memory (Doug could probably tell you the contents of a conversation over breakfast three years ago). Whenever I take Brad to the doctor, he has a good time playing and laughing and talking with the nurse and doctor. Until it's time for a shot, and then he screams. Anne, however, is quite different. As soon as the nurse entered the room, Anne scrunched up her face into a big frown and said, "No." Very firmly. "Nnnno." With a big ferocious look designed to scare off the poor nurse. She was not happy again until the nurse opened the door to leave, and then Anne was all smiles, "Bye-bye! Bye-bye!" That is, until the nurse came back with her last vaccine....

Praise God that she's growing well. I'm here in MD. Take care.
