Fun with Grandpa

Yes, that's my sweet darling girl, playing in a dumpster. Mom sold the family house and moved into a smaller one, so Dad gave away a bunch of stuff and ended up tossing more in the downsizing effort. Anne had a good time with her noisy shoes in the dumpster. Dad and Uncle Ben took turns picking her up and dropping her, which she loved.

The kids drink a TON of water, all day long!

Playtime

Our new favorite thing to do: on and off with the light switch.

Can you spot the cat?

Faker!

When Anne gets up before Brad at naptime (rare) she likes to go wake him up. He was already awake, but pretended to be asleep for five minutes before he "woke up."

P.S. I never switched the time on the camera after daylight savings--my kids aren't actually waking up from naps at four in the afternoon!!

I'm too cute for words!

This is her favorite sweater, and she wants to wear it EVERYWHERE. She's not even two and she's already trying to pick out her own clothes. Girls are definitely different than boys!

Ride a Little Horsey

Anne is attempting to ride her "horsey" down to town. :) The horsey didn't seem to mind too much!

Tangrams

Brad has been having a LOT of fun with his new tangram set (thanks, Nana & Poppa Frank!). He's really good at the patterns now, so I have to find something more difficult for him already!

Sibling Love

I woke Anne up from her nap and laid her on Bradford, who was watching his new Thomas video (thanks, Kay!). Here he is, leaning it to give her a kiss.

And the Pumpkins

Between our two farm visits and our pre-school "pumpkin patch," we have six pumpkins on our porch!

Other Stuff

The kids had fun "shucking" corn and milking the cow. I've been trying to explain to Brad how cows give us milk ever since he asked me (I think in his mind he pictured cows going to the grocery store to drop off milk), so this was very helpful!

Goats

There were lots of goats, chickens, and pigs on the farm. Anne was a little scared of the goats--she kept one hand in mine when we were near the goats. Here she is, hunched over and trying to hide from the big, scary goat!

The boys weren't scared!

Christmas List

I can't believe it, but you all have been asking for a Christmas list for Bradford and Anne, so here it is. These are just suggestions--feel free to get them other things or nothing at all!

The Hayride

We were the first people there, so we got to ride the hayride all by ourselves! The place filled up quickly, though--by the time we came back there were a ton of people waiting.

Brayden, Bradford, Lara, and Maddie (under the blanket).

The Maze

Is it really a maze if there isn't a way to get lost?

The Slide

All farms have big plastic slides, you know. Hey, Uncle Rick--where's your slide?

Farm

We spent the morning of Brad's birthday at a local farm and met up with some friends there. The boys had a GREAT time together!

Cake

Oma made her famous chocolate cake for Brad's birthday--he was a little excited!

Easel!

I saved the easel and supplies (thanks Grandma & Grandpa!) for Brad to open after dinner. He was SO excited when he saw it! I think we have an Impressionist on our hands...
