We really like the rubber duckie

What can I say? It was a slow day.

You can't tell from the photo, but he's looking at a funny washcloth his Grandma bought for him.

Now that Brad has discovered his teeth, if you don't get the spoon out quickly when you're feeding him, this is what happens. Then you have to gently move the spoon back and forth until he gets tired of the game and lets it go. Then you can give him the next bite and start all over again.

Today we went swimming

We've been trying to figure out how to deal with comments. When we allowed anyone to post, we got some very weird comments from random people. Then we restricted it to blogger users, and again received comments from people posting ads. So, after household discussion, we've decided to allow anyone to comment but with the warning that if you don't leave your first name and last intitial, or we're not sure who you are, your comment will be deleted. Our family and friends should feel free to comment without worrying about deletion. Thank you!

Okay, while you people are taking my picture, I'm just going to see what's going on here...

And yes, we have some of Brad...

Interior of Saracen's Tent

This is a picture of the very interior of Saracen's Tent, one of the most perfectly formed drapery structures in the world. You can see the light shining through the rock because it is only one-eighth of an inch thick.

Today we visited Luray Caverns

and took some pictures which in no way do the caverns justice. This picture is of a lake in the caverns--it's hard to tell where it starts, isn't it?

Thank goodness mealtime is over. Life is good again!

This is what a one-nap day looks like

I discovered Brad has two more teeth! They're the upper lateral incisors. I didn't have six teeth until my first birthday--is it strange to be proud of your child for having teeth?

Next MRI

We just got back from a visit to the neurosurgeon, and everything looks okay to him--he wants to see Brad again in six months. The next MRI is scheduled for September 12th at 10am. Pray for Brad--he's allowed no solids or formula for 8 hours prior--he can only have juice. And he'll have to have anesthesia, and that's never fun. We'll keep you posted.
